Harry R. Pedigo

August 15, 1941 — July 14, 2007

Harry R. Pedigo, age 65, went home to the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2007. He was the Beloved Husband of Sharon, nee Paden, Loving Father of Robert (Suzanne) and John Joseph who preceded him in death, Devoted Grandfather to Kayleigh and Hannah, brother of Charlotte Williams of New Orleans, LA, William (Vicky) of Lemont, IL, Joseph (Peggy) of Enterprise, AL, David (Marilyn) of Homer Glen, Richard (Lynn) of Frankfort, IL, preceded in death by his brother James, and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Harry was born August 15, 1941 to Joseph and Violet (Chambers) who preceded him in death. He grew up in the Columbus Manor section of Oak Lawn, IL where he graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School.

Harry proudly served in the US Army from 1961-1963. Upon completing his military service he returned to the Republic Steel Mill. Soon after marrying Sharon on January 30, 1965, he began his construction career working at BeeDee Builders. He later started his own construction businesses, H. Pedigo Carpentry and Roblan Construction. Harry ultimately retired from Lagestee-Mulder construction, where he worked as a Project Manager.

Harry loved to travel and completed one of his dream trips to Colorado after his retirement. He fondly recalls trips with his son, the fishing they did, the many memories they made at ballgames and their time together. He always looked forward to time with his granddaughters. From the time they were born, they had a special place in his heart and had him wrapped around their little finger.

He loved his Lord and his church, Grace Fellowship Church. He looked forward to the fellowship each week as well as the special events that came along. He served on the Senior Committee with Sharon and had a great time with the committee members. He will be dearly missed but knowing he is home with his Lord is our comfort. Memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Church.

Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2007 from 5-9PM at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church 15150 S. Oak Park Ave Oak Forest, IL. Interment is at Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL.
