Gloria Babuscio

Gloria L. Babuscio, nee Tardif, age 86, passed away May 3, 2023 at her home in Chicago. She was born on June 22, 1936 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Ralph and Lydia Tardif (Nitsche). Devoted wife of the late Joseph Babuscio and her longtime companion the late Vincent Bertucci. Loving sister of the late Yvonne Skornicki and the late Ralph Tardif. Dearest sister-in-law of Dolores Tardif and Grace Kahovec, brother-in-law Sam Skornicki and a close family friend Mary Simon. Cherished aunt of Barbara Scholar and the late Paul Scholar; Lauren and Darren Tardif, Eric and Karen Skinner; Linda, Michelle and Michael Kahovec; Barry, Beth, Bridget and Barbara McDonough; Brian and Cecile Skornicki. Dear great aunt of Leah, Jude, Olivia and Julien. Fond niece of Florence McDonough (Babuscio). Also survived by many other extended family members & friends.

Gloria attended Hirsch High School in Chicago & shortly after graduation married her husband Joseph Babuscio. She was a beautiful, full spirited individual that loved life, her marriage, family, & friends. She liked to travel, cook, entertain & especially enjoyed playing a good game of cards. Gloria held various work positions, belonged to many clubs & most adored caring (in time of need) for her sister's children, Paulie & Barbara, who were the first to nickname her Aunt "GO GO". Gloria was dedicated to being a caregiver to her mother & in later years, her long time companion Vincent Bertucci. To know Gloria, was to love her, she 'GLOWED'. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Memorial Service will take place with a private family gathering.
