Gerald Ronald Walker, age 77, of Midlothian, Il.
Born in Chicago, Il.  Lived most of his life in Cook County, Il and Pasco county, FL.

He was residing in Midlothian until he passed away on March 29, 2017.
He served in the U.S. Navy and then the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1956-1962.  While in the Navy he was a cook on the U.S.S. Stormes (DD-780).  While living in Florida, he was an active member of VFW #8681 in Shady Hills, FL.
Beloved husband of the late Marie Walker (nee Evans).
Loving father of Dawn (Kevin) Nolan, Sandra Walker, Jacqueline (Walter) Sankowski, Victoria (Robert) Smedley, Kathleen (Robert Jr.) Marting, and Theresa Herhold.
Cherished grandfather of Steven, Anastasia, Audrie, Stephanie, Kara, Daniel, Brian, Jamie, Katrina, Samantha, Jocelyn, Connor, Josephine, and Kai.
Proud great-grandfather of Austin, Kaitlyn, Evelyn, and Madison.
Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Dear cousin to Charles Smith and Robert Smith.
Son of the late Arthur Walker and the late Evelyn Miller
Brother of the late Arthur Walker and the late Ernest Walker.

Visitation Sunday 12:00pm -5:00pm. Funeral Service Monday 11:00am at the Maher Funeral Home Tinley Park 7051 W. 171st St.

Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
