Gerald "Uncle Jiggs" Toppen, age 91, WWII US Army Air Corps Veteran, beloved husband for 71 years to Rolaine, nee Borgman. Loving father of Ruth Ellyn (Ray) Matkowski, Gerald Henry (Bonnie) Toppen, Renee (Phil) Vitello, Roberta Gustafson, Joy (Joseph) Kelley and Raymond (Kelly) Toppen. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great- grandfather of 17. Fond brother of the late Grace Van Dyken, Bertha Ridderhoff, Ann Nutter, John, Ray and Hank. Retired in 1984 as International Vice President of BRAC (Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks). Visitation Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
