George F. Opyt, age 86, USAF Korean War Veteran, beloved husband for 59 years to Stella, nee Stanaszek. Loving father of Ken (Debbie) Opyt and Susan (Brad) Johnson. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Opyt, Nicole (Mike) Goshorn, Wes Opyt; Brittani Johnson and Skylar Johnson. Dearest great-grandfather of Hannah Goshorn. Dear brother of Marge Unton and preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to St. Anthony Church, 7659 Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL on Thursday, July 18, 2019 for a visitation in the atrium from 9:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors to be held privately after Mass at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
