George H. Fischer, age 88, WWII Navy Veteran, beloved husband of the late Doris, nee Hofmann (2003). Loving father of Janet (Walter) Krieger and George C. (Paula) Fischer. Cherished grandfather of Lisa (Bradley) Vliek and Brian (Kathleen) Krieger. Dearest great-grandfather of Abby, Evan, Drew Vliek and Madeline Krieger. Retired after 38 years of service as a machinist for the Chicago Tribune. Also worked as a naprapath for many years. Active member at the former Bethel Reformed Church, Chicago, IL.
