Gene Lakinski, age 92, U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Betty Lakinski, nee Kozurko (2008). Loving father of Karen Mahoney and the late David Lakinski and Kimberly Lakinski. Dear father-in-law of Eric Mahoney. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Kyle, Erin, Tara and Ryan. Loving companion of Sheri Russell. Gene's family would like to thank Bethany, Michelle and Tina, the nursing staff that showed such care and compassion for Gene.
Visitation Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Palos Hospital Hospice, 15295 E. 127th Street, Lemont, IL 60439 are appreciated.
