Gary F. Franzen, age 73, beloved husband for 32 years to Dodi (Van Deering). Loving father of William (Paula) Jacobson, Janine (Darryl) Witte, Christopher (Lauren) Franzen, and Neil Franzen. Cherished grandfather of Delaney Jacobson, Ella Jacobson, Andrew Witte, Jenna Witte, and Jake Franzen. Dear brother of Elizabeth (Robert) Unger and the late Terrence Franzen. Fond brother-in-law of Francis (Mary) Sangiacomo, Patricia Ann (Doug) Wicks, and Robert J. (Farah) Van Deering. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Founder of Standard Wire & Steel Works in South Holland, IL. Gary was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Visitation Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Inurnment private at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
