Frances was bom August 29, 1913 to Netti and Finis Williams. She was the eldest of three children. Her brother was Abe and her sister Genevieve. She grew up in Callao, MO where she was a very good student. As a matter of fact students and family remember Frances as having the distinguished honor of reading every single book in her school's library. To say Frances was an avid reader does not do her justice. She graduated valedictorian of her class.
Not only did she enjoy reading, she was an accomplished musician and singer. So talented was Frances that she and her sister Genevieve were musicians and singers with various evangelists and revival preachers who passed through the Midwest preaching the Gospel. Frances and Genevieve contributed their talents and faith at those grand revival meetings in the mid 1900's. Frances believed in Jesus and blessed many through her faith.
In 1935 she married William George Hutton. They had a son Ron who survives her. During 1936-37 Frances, George, and Ron left Missouri for Chicago. George found work as a welder. Frances found work at Cracker Jack on Chicago's south side where she was a valued employee for over 20 years. In 1946 they moved from Chicago and settled in Crestwood, IL. In the early and mid 1900's travel was somewhat of a luxury yet one she, her husband George, and their son Ron enjoyed.
After the passing of her husband George she married Stanley Blahous. She and Stanley enjoyed their lives and continued living in Crestwood until his passing. In more recent years Frances was a loving resident of Brighton Gardens where she also had many friends.
Frances will be remembered as a remarkable woman. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed a good game of Yahtzie, she liked home made ice cream, and as a great cook she made some of the best pork, sour kraut, and dumplings on the south side. She was a competent hard working employee and a respected community member. She was a superb piano player and singer, a faithful wife, diligent mother, and she cherished her grandkids.
Frances' spiritual life was not a hidden one. She believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord. She is saved by grace through her faith and her life is a testimony of her faith.
As a woman with 92 years, from the rolling hills of Missouri to the hustle bustle of Chicago and its suburbs with husband and family and friends and faith, she lived right and she lived well.
