Evelyn Cichon

Evelyn Leona Cichon, nee Miller, age 84, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at her home in Matteson, IL with her family by her side. Beloved wife for 63 years to the late Thomas S. Cichon, Sr. (2022). Loving mother of Judith Ann (late Edward) Sevcik of Matteson, IL, Susan (Michael) Vincenzo of Justice, IL, Thomas S. Jr. (Gina) Cichon of Fulshear, TX, and Kathleen (Mario) Burke of Houghton, MI. Proud grandmother of Joseph (Julieanne) Cichon; CJ Vincenzo; Paul (Taylor) Burke, Silas (Molly) and Sarah Burke; Santino and Gianna Cichon. Very proud great-grandmother of twin great-grandsons Micah Thomas and Evan Carson Burke. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph G. and Genevieve J. (nee Curtin) Miller. Preceded in death by her siblings Joseph Miller Jr., Gerald "Jerry" Miller, John "Jack" Miller and Marilyn Jenson-Johnson. Dear sister-in-law of Carol B. Wicher. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is also survived by her four-legged friends Oliver and Arabella.

Evelyn was raised in several Chicago communities and graduated from St. Casimir High School in Chicago. She met her husband Thomas on a blind date and it was love at first sight. They were united in marriage on August 1, 1959. Evelyn loved TV game shows, word search puzzles and was a voracious reader of mystery novels.

Visitation Monday, April 1, 2024 from 3-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL A live-stream will be available for Evelyn's Funeral Service at 7:00PM CST. Link is posted below. Interment private.
