Elsie H. Van Drie, nee Schoonveld, age 89, beloved wife for 68 years to Harold Van Drie. Loving mother of Barbara Van Drie, Brian (Denise) Van Drie, Beverly (David) Hughes and Glenn (Jean) Van Drie. Cherished grandmother of Jacob and Joshua Van Drie; Matthew, Anna and Joseph Hughes; Emma Van Drie-Heitritter (Thomas), Luke and Nathan Van Drie. Dear sister of Joyce (late Robert) Garbacz, the late Shirley (late Benjamin) Scholtens and the late Robert (Lois) Schoonveld. Preceded in death by her parents Abel and Lovisa (nee Anderson) Schoonveld. Dear sister-in-law Eva (late Daniel) Schutte and the late Bernard (Marlene) Van Drie. Fond aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Most precious to Elsie was her Christian faith expressed in a lifetime of ministry and service in the Reformed Church. Her love of music was expressed through playing the piano and singing. Her love of home and family was expressed in her baking, cooking, sewing, and the comforts of home. She blessed her husband with these gifts and passed these loves to her children and grandchildren.

Visitation Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Fairmount - Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, IL.
