Edythe Molter of Victorian Village, Homer Glen, Illinois, was born on July 13, 1918, in Chicago, the fifth of ten children of Jacob Molter and Annie Swierenga Molter. She never married. She was preceded in death by her parents; by two sisters: Dorothy Adams and Effie Carlson; and by five brothers: Henry Molter, John Molter, Fred Molter, Peter Molter and Cornelius Molter, and one niece. She died at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois, on December 23, 2005, at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 10 days.
Surviving are one sister, Lena Fricke of Goshen, Indiana; one brother, Jacob Molter of Bensenville, Illinois; nine nieces and fourteen nephews. Also surviving are grandnieces and grandnephews.
Following her graduation from Lucy Flower High School, she worked as a long distance telephone operator, and prior to her retirement, as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Moody Memorial Church in Chicago and more recently had attended Ashburn Baptist Church in Orland Park, Illinois. She participated in church activities and Bible studies and was deeply interested in the spiritual well being of her family and friends.
