Edward Waldo

Edward A. Waldo, age 88, loving husband for 66 years to Christina K. Waldo. Devoted father of Cindy Schuchart, Linda “Jean” Waldo and Julie (Ray) Klosowski. Cherished grandfather of Jennie (Matt) Altendorf, Jessica Schuchart and Sean Klosowski. Proud great grandfather of Liam Altendorf. Beloved son of the late Norval and the late Marjorie Waldo. Dear brother of the late Dotty (late Ed) Kalchbrenner. Fond uncle of Debbie (late Robert) Waldron and the late David Kalchbrenner. Great uncle of Samuel (Sandy) and Blake (fiancée Tina) Waldron. Great great uncle of Spencer and Jasper Waldron. Kind friend to many.

Ed was an alumnus of Kalamazoo College where he and Chris first met. He was a K-12 textbook salesman for Merrill Publishing Company and Glencoe/McGraw-Hill. His territory included Cook County and Chicago Public Schools. Ed earned numerous awards of excellence throughout his career. During the 1970’s he was elected to the District 143 School Board in Midlothian where he enjoyed serving as president for part of his term. In his spare time, he loved to fish and travel with his family. He spent many summers at Paw Paw Lake in Coloma, MI and many spring and summer vacations at Walt Disney World. Ed also proudly served in the Army National Guard of Illinois.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
