Edward D. Franczyk, age 52. Devoted father of Olivia and Cora Franczyk and their mother Beth Franczyk. Cherished son of Paul (Celeste Figliulo) and the late Judy Franczyk (nee Burrell). Loving brother of Cindy (Joe) Zazzetti and Michael (Wendi) Franczyk. Proud uncle of Paul and Leanne Zazzetti. Dear son- in-law of Marjory (nee Kuyper) and the late Charles “Chuck” Vander Luitgaren. Fond brother-in-law of Jamie (Brian Gawlik) Raymond. Best cousin and friend of many.

Ed is the owner of EDF Concrete Construction in Frankfort, IL. Ed enjoyed golf and especially being his daughter Olivia’s golf coach. He was a big fan of the Blackhawks and White Sox.

Our hearts were definitely not ready for him to leave us. Please take a moment today and crack a joke to a stranger or simply say something nice to them. Big Ed was famous for this, which is why he was fortunate to have so many friends in life. “We love you infinity”.

Visitation Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 2-7 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Cremation private.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for his daughters' education.
