E. Carter Gerretse, age 79, U.S. Navy Veteran. Beloved husband for 56 years to Judith L. Gerretse, nee Bubna. Loving father of Joseph (Maureen), James, Cathleen Patla (Michael) and Jeffrey (Georgia). Cherished grandfather of Emma, Nikolas, Caroline, Demetrios, Alecos, Madeline, Ken, Ian and the late Elizabeth. Dearest great-grandfather of Kennedy. Dear brother of Bonnie (Bob) Crabb.
Carter worked in banking for 26 years, but his pride and joy was his t-shirt business (C&J Silkscreening) which he owned for 30 years.
Services private. Interment private at Orland Memorial Park Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to All Saints Church, 13350 S. LaGrange Rd., Orland Park, IL 60462 for Heartland Children's Home are appreciated.
