Douglas Harenberg

Douglas L. Harenberg, age 82, beloved husband for 64 years to Ellen Joyce Harenberg, nee Vanderbeck. Loving father of Cindy (Tom) Winkelbauer, Laura Jean Naples (Michael Giusti), Judy (late Kurt) Crouse, and Douglas Harenberg Jr. Cherished grandfather of Dennis Winkelbauer (Tencia Estrada), Keith (Ami) Winkelbauer, Laura Ellen Naples (Rich Meyer), Judy Marie (Andy) Blakey, and Shannon Crouse (Angelo Cassineri). Dearest great-grandfather of seven. Survived by his brother Richard Harenberg, sister Barbara Hamzik, and sister-in-law Ruth (Al) Dotson. Preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Douglas was a dedicated employee of Sears and Central Steel and Wire for many years.

Visitation Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 3-8PM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Lying in state Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Ashburn Baptist Church, 15401 Wolf Rd., Orland Park, IL from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m.

Interment Orland Memorial Park Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
