Dorothy L. Johnson

Dorothy Lucille Johnson, 96, of Marengo, Illinois passed away March 24th, 2023.  She was born November 3rd, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Emil and Frances Herbrecht.  She was married to the (late) Harry C. Johnson on October 30, 1948 at St. Williams Church, in Chicago.  They were married for 58 wonderful years.  She then moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois for retirement, and spent many years enjoying the lake, reading, loved floral arranging, cooking for family, and enjoying the country life.  Later years moved to Simi Valley, California to be with family there and enjoy the warm weather.  Survivors include their 5 children, Charles (Diane) Johnson, Valerie Thompson, Christine (Tom) Webster, Barbara Miller and Alida (Tom) Pietrusiewicz.  Proud Nana of 11 grandchildren, and Very Proud Great Nana of 17 great-grandchildren.  She will be missed and loved by all.  God bless her long and fruitful life!  Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California with her beloved husband.
