Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy Johnson, nee Halwachs, age 100, beloved wife of the late Stanley Johnson (1968). Loving mother of David (Patricia) Johnson and the late Kenneth Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Maxwell, Elaina, Linnea, Hanna, and Christopher. Dearest great-grandmother of Zane. Preceded in death by her siblings Theresa Peterson, Betty Mann, Herb Halwachs, and Walter Halwachs.

Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of Evangelical School of Nursing, received a Bachelor's Degree from St. Francis University, and a Master's Degree in Operating Room Nursing from Washington University in St. Louis. Dorothy was a registered nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn from 1964 - 1993.

Visitation Friday, May 6, 2022 at Peace Memorial Church, 10300 W. 131st St., Palos Park, IL 60464 from 3-8 p.m. A Nightingale Tribute Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Additional Visitation Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. at Peace Memorial Church.

Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
