Donald M. Gee

May 5, 1938 — May 10, 2010

Donald Marvin Gee was the son of Herman D. Gee and Bernice H. (nee Vogt) Gee. He was born on May 5, 1938 at Chicago’s Lying-In Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia (nee Plecinski); one son, Timothy, one daughter, Trisha (Mark) Kiwior. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Alexander, Gabriella, and Kelsey Gee. His sisters are Marilyn (Richard) Gortowski, Janis (George) Curtin and Kathleen (Richard) Grotemeyer. Donald worked at Gee Lumber Yard for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy. He liked basketball, baseball, and bowling; and was a longtime White Sox fan. Membership in the Tinley Park Historical Society always meant a great deal to him because of his connection to the founding Vogt family. He served as a board member of the Acorn Library in Oak Forest for 14 years. He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church for 46 years serving on many committees and as an elder. Donald lived by the power and promise of God’s love, and used every opportunity to share that love with others.
