Dolores G. "Dee" Ebertsch, nee Drabek, age 80, beloved wife of the late James Ebertsch. Loving mother of Jacqueline (Eric) Rothfahn and Rick (Carol) Watters. Cherished grandmother of Wendy (Shawn) Gamble, Paul Armenia, Lauren (Matt) Easoz, Brian (Katie) Watters and Zachary Rothfahn. Dearest great-grandmother of Sara Gamble, Gage Gamble and Cassidy Easoz. Dear step-mother of James Ebertsch, Kenneth (Karen) Ebertsch, and Janice Copper. Dear sister of David (Susan) Drabek and the late Richard Drabek.
Dee wanted to be a nurse from a young age. Although life took her in a different direction for many years to raise her family, she entered nursing school at Moraine Valley Community College and graduated in 1980 with an RN in nursing at the age of 39. The family was very proud of her accomplishments. She worked at Palos Community Hospital in the Emergency Room for many years. She also served her community as a volunteer Firefighter and Paramedic for Chicago Ridge Fire Department. Her hobbies were crocheting and dog obedience training as a trainer. Dee was always frugal, however, when she saw someone was in need, she was there for them and she routinely donated to many Christian organizations.
A Visitation will be held at Parkview Christian Church, 14367 W. 159th St., Homer Glen, IL on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with a Service to Celebrate Dee's life to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Dolores and James Ebertsch's ashes will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. James will be laid to rest with full military honors.
