Dena Deckinga, nee Bulthuis, age 98, beloved wife of the late Henry "Hank" Deckinga (1994). Loving mother of Dennis (Joyce) Deckinga, Ronald (Bridget) Deckinga, Henry (Barbara) Deckinga and Deborah (Jan) Kahn. Cherished grandmother of Laurie (Scott) Ludwig, Kristy (Derrick) Beecham, Allison Deckinga, Michael Deckinga, Chris (Liz) Deckinga, Chad (Shannon) Deckinga, Calvin (Colleen) Deckinga, Jason (Jennifer) Kahn, Justin (Jennifer) Kahn and Julie (Kyle) Schambach. Dearest great-grandmother of 20. Dear sister of Marilyn (late John "Dub") Deckinga and preceded in death by her brothers Peter (late Ruth) Bulthuis, Richard (late Angeline) Bulthuis, Edward (Tillie) Bulthuis, Robert (Marlene) Bulthuis and William (Trenice Postema) Bulthuis. Dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Dena’s love for her 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren was endless. They always held a special place in her heart and brought her so much joy and happiness.

Visitation Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
