Dawn K. Smith, nee Hartwig, age 80, lifelong resident of Tinley Park, IL. Beloved wife for 54 years and best friend for 70 years to Charley Smith, Jr. Devoted daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn Hartwig. Loving sister of David Hartwig and the late Dale (Gene) Hartwig. Dear sister-in-law of Lori (late Bob) Mason. Cherished aunt of Amy (Dave) Freehofer, Jennifer (Jeff) Rapjle, Scott Mason, Melissa (Quentin) Maguire and the late Heidi Mason. Dearest great-aunt of Kayla, Jake, Joey, John, Mason and Kellyn. Fond cousin and friend of many.

Dawn was a dedicated teacher for 38 years, retiring from District 146 Fierke Education Center.

Visitation Friday, April 8, 2022 at Peace Memorial Church, 10300 W. 131st St., Palos Park, IL 60464 from 3-8 p.m. with Visitation continuing Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. at Peace Memorial Church. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Tinley Park, IL.
