David A. Manthey, age 82, of Orland Park, IL, beloved husband for 58 years to Diane A. Manthey, nee Deutschman. Devoted son of the late Carl and Theresa. Retired in 1996 from the Chicago Sun-Times as a sports writer for 39 years.
