David C. Carlson, Sr., age 86, US Air Force Reserves, beloved husband for 53 years to the late Marianne "Sis", nee Wold (2020). Loving father of David Jr. (Janet) Carlson. Cherished grandfather "Papa" of Christopher (Vicki) Pinski and Abbey (Mike Tabor) Carlson. Dearest great-grandfather of Nathaniel Jack Pinski. Dear brother of Nancy Behrens and Ruth Reinick. Fond brother-in-law of Gilbert (Pat) Wold and Patricia (Jim) Veselsky. Fond uncle of Michael Reinick, Gregory (Rhonda) Wold, Jennifer (Mike) Malito and Stacy (Joe) Rusakiewicz. He is also survived by many beloved friends and a special four-legged companion, Jasper.
David lived his life in love. Whether he was offering the mailman an ice cream bar or donating items to the local food pantry, David’s love led him to give more than he took. Whether he was tending caringly to his garden or providing for his family, David’s love led him to smile more than he frowned. David loved to spend his time clipping coupons, oftentimes having the store owe him money after a shopping trip, and watching his beloved Green Bay Packers. His love culminated in pure adoration for his wife of 53 years and warm endearment for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Given his years of pure love, it is only fitting David’s final words were, “I love you all.” We love you too, David, forever and always.
