Darryl S. Miller, age 71, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran with three tours of duty in country. Retired Chicago Police Officer. Treasured son of Wanda (late Ulysses) Cunningham and the late Glenn Hurt. Loving father of Jennifer (John) Hall, Michele (Mark) Sotelo, Laura Hotalling, Justin (Amber) Miller and Katherine Miller. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa and Joshua Sotelo; Caden, Christian, Ashlee and Alex Hall; Xander and Alera Hotalling; and Jude Miller. Dear brother of the late Ricky Miller. Fond step-brother of Martessa Brownlow, Patrick Cunningham, the late Donna West, the late Michael Cunningham and Darryl Cunningham. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Fred Leo Brown.

After retiring from the Chicago Police Department, Darryl moved to Nevada where he worked as a union leader for the United Steelworkers of America.

Inurnment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
