Daniel Peter Sackett, Jr., age 67, beloved husband for 47 years to Lynda Miles. Loving father of Daniel J. Miles-Sackett, Allison (Camilo) Acevedo and David Miles-Sackett. Cherished grandfather of Eliana and Aria Acevedo. Devoted son of Mary Sackett (nee Bellio) and the late Daniel Peter Sackett, Sr. Dear brother of Mary Ellen Kasik (Scott) and Michael Sackett. Loving uncle of 16 nieces and nephews.
Daniel was a teacher for 33 years at Carl Sandburg High School from 1983-2016. He was a speech coach, theater director as well as a mentor.
