Daniel Harfmann

Daniel Harfmann, age 90, of Mokena, IL, passed away on June 6, 2023, with friends and family at his side. Beloved father of Katharina and Daniel, grandchildren Jacob, Ann, the late Nathan, and Sean. Adored great-grandfather of four. Dear brother, cherished uncle, treasured friend, and great neighbor to so many.

Originally from Austria, Daniel was a fun-loving, generous man who loved his family and friends, gardening, traveling, fishing, and re-engineering everything. Daniel was a U.S. Army veteran, retired truck driver from Vanderbuilt Flour Company, a faithful congregant of Trinity Lutheran Church and member of their dart team, a 47-year member of The Masonic Landmark Lodge 422, former member of the Almrausch Club (aka The Farmer's Hall) and DANK Chicago South.

Visitation Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 2-8pm at Maher Funeral Home, 17101 S. 71st Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Daniel's honor.
