Dan Franco

Dan Franco, age 88 of East Hazel Crest Illinois and formerly of  South Chicago passed away Monday evening March 26th peacefully with his family at his side. Beloved and devoted husband of Jennie Nee Fernandez for over 66 years. Proud father of Cindy Lenahan (Mike Abegg), Gloria Garcia, and Denise (Brian) Pieczynski.  Loving grandpa of Anthony, Eric, Mark, Zachary and Gabrielle. Proud member of American Legion 1139 of East Hazel Crest. Dan was very fond of the drum and bugle corp, his stain glass hobby, his award winning flower garden, and of course his frozen margaritas. Visitation Monday April 2nd from 4pm to 8 PM at the Maher Funeral Home, 17101 71st Avenue Tinley Park, IL 60477. Veteran service 6:30 PM. Funeral Tuesday morning 8:30am from the funeral home to St. Anne’s Church, 16801 Dixie Highway Hazel Crest, IL 60429 for a 10am mass of Christian burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to be made to American Legion 1139 of East Hazel Crest’s  Veteran Wreath  Fund.
