Connie Evans

February 9, 1936 — February 3, 2022

Connie (Gish) Evans, age 85, was born and raised in Quincy, IL, attended St. Rose grade school and Notre Dame High School. Connie moved to Chicago's south suburbs after marriage to late Robert Evans. A beloved Mother to her children Lynn, Dana (Richard) Rooda, and Carl. Daughter of the late John and Gertrude Gish, sister of the late Lovica (Ken) Marksbury and late Carl (Mary) Gish. Aunt to four generations of nieces and nephews. A cherished friend to many.

Volunteered at her children's schools: St. Michaels in Orland Park (head librarian for a few years), Worth, and Richards. Involved with PTA and an election judge. Volunteered with a Catholic program for developmentally handicapped children, at Worth Library and Together We Cope. Member of Worth American Legion for 45 years. Connie worked at Worth and Evergreen Park Libraries, retiring from Evergreen Park. Talented at crocheting, Connie donated afghans to vets, the homeless, hospitals, and more.

Burial was private.
