Clara Evelyn "Clare" Smith, nee Smit, of Palos Heights, age 85, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Beloved wife of Andrew Lawrence "Larry" Smith. Loving mother of Steve (Eric) Smith and Jill (David) Knibbe. Proud grandmother of Laura Knibbe and Jaclyn (David) Hollinger. Loving great-grandmother of Noah and Ryan Hollinger. Dearest sister of Jenny Staat, Robert (late Judy) (late Jane) Smit, the late Edith (late Bob) Bonnema and the late John (Judi) Smit. Kind aunt of many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her parents John and Clara Smit.

Visitation Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL 60462. Visitation continues Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Calvary Church, 16100 S. 104th Ave., Orland Park, IL 60467 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
