Christine Winship

Christine L. "Chris" Winship, nee Linn, age 82, late of Orland Park, IL formerly of Midlothian, IL. Beloved wife for 56 years to the late Gene Winship (2022). Loving mother of Joy (Doug) Bohrer of Palatine, IL and Jill (Mark) Carrera of Oak Forest, IL. Cherished grandmother of Tiffanie, Deanna, Julia, Melia Bohrer; Kennedy (Caleb) Johnson, Mark Jr. (Alyssa) Carrera, Kinsey, Kamden, Mitchell and Michael Carrera. Dear sister of Carole Peters and the late Betty Spickerman and the late Jay Linn. Dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Chris was a charter member of Grace Fellowship Church of Oak Forest, IL where she joyfully served in many ministries including, AWANA leader, AWANA nursery, Sunday School teacher, New Baby visits and Baptism Ministry. Chris, along with her late husband Gene, loved traveling with family and friends, was always up for a road trip, a snack run, and especially attending and cheering for their grandkids at baseball games, basketball games, soccer games, softball games, volleyball matches, recitals and musicals.

Visitation Friday, October 11, 2024 at Grace Fellowship Church, 15150 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Forest, IL 60452 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Burial private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
