Charles Swiney

Charles M. "Chuck" Swiney, age 75, beloved husband for 52 years to Marlene, nee Bulthuis. Loving father of Kimberly (Monte) Merrick, Charles (Patti), Michelle (Mike) Edgar and Timothy (Christy). Cherished grandfather of Jonathon (Jaime), Daniel, Kiersten, Tyler, Jake, Zac, Jeremiah, Lucas, Logan, Nikki and Caleb. Dear brother-in-law of Robert (late Sharon) Bulthuis, Edward (Christina) Bulthuis, Kathy (Ron) Reidy and the late Martin (late Kathleen) Bulthuis. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was very active at his church serving as an Elder and Deacon along with singing in the choir. Former lieutenant at the Hometown Fire Department. Retired garbage man and truck driver. Chuck had a special heart and passion for those with special needs. In his later years, he enjoyed using his gifts to help those at Bethshan Association and Elim Christian Services. He embraced life with joy--always having a contagious smile. He was the biggest cheerleader for his family--especially his grandchildren.

Visitation Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 3-9 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Visitation continues Monday, September 19, 2016 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 10056 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
