Charles R. "Ron" Murray, age 89, retired Division Chief of the Oak Lawn Fire Department. Husband of the late Myrtis Murray, nee Melby. Beloved companion of the late Bobbie Bunch. Loving father of Ronald (Carrie), Kathleen M. Crocker, John (Kathy) and Timothy (Laura Foster). Cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Chad; Katelyn, Michael (Stephanie), Megan, Betsy; Thomas, Bella (Michael) Hildreth, Kimberly (Finley) Fields and Gavin. Dearest great-grandfather of Crue and Nicholas. Dear brother of the late Margaret (late Greg) Anderson.

Visitation Friday, September 26, 2025 from 3-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. A live stream of the Funeral Service will be available. The link will be posted below. Interment private.
