Charles D. Krumrie

Charles D. Krumrie, of Park Forest, IL and formerly Tinley Park, IL, age 72 passed peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023.  He was predeceased by his parents, Homer D. and Charlotte M. Krumrie and his wife, Corliss A. Krumrie, along with a son Jason E. Krumrie.  Charles (aka Charlie or Chuck), is survived by his children, Daniel (Tara), Paul, and Kyle Krumrie. Chandler, Charlie Jr., and Veronica.  8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 8 brothers and sisters, Robert, Richard, Ronald, Sandra, Thomas, Cynthia, Dennis and Barbara with many nieces and nephews.

Charlie liked to refer to himself as #1 being that he was the first born. His brothers and sisters always took this in good humor. Charles was a patriot and proud Vietnam Veteran, and awarded a Bronze Star among other commendations. He was a life member of the Tinley Park VFW, and a member of the Tinley Park American Legion, and an avid visitor of the Veteran’s Canteens. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved his Harley’s.

Services will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Maher Funeral Home 17101 171st St. Tinley Park, IL with visitation from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Interment will follow with a Military Service at 1:30 p.m. promptly, please arrive by 1:00 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL  60421
