Charles Henry Cosgrove, passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 94. Charles was born in Fall River, MA on January 9, 1927, to Charles Henry and Anna Elizabeth Cosgrove (nee Vaughan). He was the brother of Ruth Galloway (nee Vaughan), Grace Sullivan (nee Vaughan), and Edward J. Cosgrove. After serving in the United States Coast Guard, he attended Colorado University, graduating with a major in economics. In 1952 he married Marjorie Holtorf, and the couple had six children: Charles H. (Debbie), Michael P. (dec.), Joseph K., Laurie K., Peter W., and Matthew P. (Mary Rose). He is survived by five children and seven grandchildren: Kerry L. Brackin (Annas Darhouj), Katherine G. (Benjamin Thauland), Natalia, Daniel, Kelsey, Zeidy, and Charles; and two-great-grandchildren: Ibraheem Atia and Maryam Dahrouj.
Charles was an avid history buff and in 1997 published "A History of the 134th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the Civil War" (E. Mellen, Press). He taught his children the values of honesty, hard work, and compassion.
