Charles R. "Chuck" Burnett, age 75, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, recipient of two Purple Hearts. Beloved husband of 49 1/2 years to Lenette "Lee" Burnett, nee Werner. Loving father of Jamie Beyer, Allison (Dan) Loerop, Charles Robert III (Debbie) Burnett, Paula (Tim) Sontag, Marta (Bill) Berland, Naomi (Jonathan) Chinavong. Cherished Poppy of Jasmyn, Henry, Grace and Lilly Beyer; Brady, Eleanor, Nolan, late Gil, Evie and Greta Loerop; Kaylee Burnett; Liam Berland; Ian Kelly Chinavong. Dear uncle of Lee, Madelyne and Mary.
Chuck loved caring for his garden and lawn. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Chuck's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th St., Tinley Park, IL 60477 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service to celebrate Chuck's life to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private burial with military honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran School are appreciated.
