Charlene Parry, age 97, late of Orland Park, IL formerly a longtime resident of Des Plaines, IL. Entered heaven on September 25, 2021. Born August 7, 1924 in Greenfield, Tennessee to Arthur Sullivan and Exie (Sanders) Sullivan.
Charlene moved to Chicago as a young lady with big dreams. She was a woman before her time, with a career as a purchasing manager.
She is preceded in death by her husband William, and her eight sisters and one brother. Surviving are her daughter Debra (John) Steinborn, son William (Janet) Parry, and her five grandchildren; Nicole and Jennifer Steinborn; Melissa, Billy, and Shannon Parry.
Charlene and her late husband created life-long friendships as founding members of The First Baptist Church of Park Ridge, IL. Quite the performer, Char loved to sing and also enjoyed playing bridge.
A celebration of Char’s life will be held at Parkview Christian Church Chapel, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society or The Salvation Army.
