Charlene Hassel

Charlene F. Hassel, nee Drogosz, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 7, 2021. Beloved wife for 64 years to Thomas Hassel. Loving mother of Karen, Ken (Chriss), and Dianne (Jim) Hensel. Cherished grandmother of William, Andrew, and Daniel Hensel; Rebecca and Thomas Hassel. Dear sister of Richard (Marianne) Drogosz. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Charlene loved being a rescue mom to Seymore and Meg. She was forever a Chicago Cubs fan. Char was the best hostess for holiday family gatherings and family game nights. If it wasn't a Cub's game she was watching on TV, you could bet it was a Turner Movie Classic. Charlene, a 50 year plus resident of Orland Park, has always been very active in the Civic Affairs of the village.

Services will be private followed by a Celebration of Life Service taking place in the Spring.

In honor of Charlene's life, memorial donations to Parkinson's Foundation or an animal rescue organization of your choice are appreciated.
