Betty Holke

Betty "Boop" Holke, nee Monsen, age 88, beloved wife of the late Edwin (2013). Loving mother of David (Barbara) Holke, Diane (John) Sweeney and the late Robert Holke. Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Erick, Rebecca, Brian, and Daniel. Dear sister of the late Kenneth (Louise) Monsen and sister-in-law of Elwin (Janet) Holke. Dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.

For many years she and Ed were snowbirds and spent the winters in Scottsdale, AZ. She so loved the Arizona mountains and when the desert bloomed in the spring. When the weather warmed up north, they would return and spend much of their time in the hilly Galena region of IL. Betty was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Palos Heights, IL. Betty was also a member of the St Peter’s Couples Club and the KnitWits.

Visitation Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements.

Lying in state Monday, March 29, 2021 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7800 W McCarthy Rd, Palos Heights, IL 60463. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements.

Interment Bethania Cemetery, Justice, IL.
