Betty L. Boersma (Schmidt), age 77, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2021. Beloved wife for 57 years to William B. Boersma. Loving mother of Debra (Charlie) Stillwell and Susan (David) Luchtenburg. Cherished grandmother of David Stillwell, Dawn Solano, Danielle (Jason) Holley, Elizabeth (James) Stillwell-O'Keefe, Sarah (Abel) Villagomez, Bethany Luchtenburg and Lucas Luchtenburg. Dearest great grandmother of David Jr., Jacob, Aaron, Aaliana, Emmanuel, Wilhelmina, Amanda, Alyssa, Hailey, Chase, Ryder, Isabella, Charlie III, James IV, Brandon, Eden, and Ethan. Devoted daughter of the late John and Wilhelmina Schmidt. Dear sister of James (Sandra) Schmidt, Linda (Nick) Ahrens and the late Harold (Rena Mae) Schmidt. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a strong warrior of God. She loved to spend time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the preaching at the Orland Park Christian Reformed Church. When Betty was younger, she always wanted to be a missionary. She did become such as she was able to work with the program Crossroads Prison Ministries. She would send words of encouragement and well wishes with her many cards and devotionals to everyone. Betty will be dearly missed by many but she is now with our Lord Jesus, singing praises with Him.
