Bernice G. "Babe" Smit, nee Kampstra, age 93, late of Lisle, IL, formerly of Palos Park, IL, Winneconne, WI, and Chicago, IL. Beloved wife for 55 years to the late Henry J. “Hank” Smit, Sr. (2003). Loving mother of William (Jean), Roger (Irene), Henry, Jr., and the late Wayne (Ellyn). Cherished grandmother of nine. Dearest great-grandmother of many. Preceded in death by her brothers and their spouses, Renard (Lucy) Kampstra and George (Betty) Kampstra. Also preceded in death by her husband's siblings and their spouses, James (Anne) Smit, Herman (Verbena) Smit, Helen (Arnold) Smits, Marge (Jake) Tiesenga, and Frank (Ann) Smit. Dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 5:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave., (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Burial private at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
