Bernice S. (Hence) Mccarthy

Bernice S. McCarthy, 98, at Northwestern Palos Hospital on February 12th.  Beloved daughter of the late John and Hazel Hence (nee Klopp).  Devoted mother of the late James Jez and Patricia (Gary) Miles.  Loving sister of the late John Jr. and the late Eleanor Hence.  Dearest grandmother of Sherrie (David) Graham and Michael (Beth).  Dearest great-grandmother of Camie Graham, Bryan, Matthew, Brooklyn Graham and Griffin Miles.  Fond Aunt of many.  Bernice was a riveter during WW II, and enjoyed dancing, deep-sea fishing, and took many a vacation in the U.S.  She was an avid reader as well as a passionate Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks fan.  She adored her grandchildren and had a deep love for her family.  Visitation Friday February 18th from 11-1pm, with a chapel prayer service at 12:00 noon, Pastor Jamie Deuser, officiating.  Interment private at Homewood Memorial Gardens.
