Bernice J. Bosma

Bernice J. Bosma, age 95, devoted daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (nee VanderLaan) Bosma. Loving sister of Alvin (late Estelle and late Marilyn) Bosma, Janet (Fred) Huizinga, and Andrew (Beverly and the late Judith) Bosma. Cherished aunt, great- aunt, and great-great aunt of many nieces and nephews. Devoted friend to many.

Bernice was a faithful member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church for many years and later joined Orland Park Christian Reformed Church.

Bernice worked at Armour and Co. for many years and later worked as an Executive Secretary at Northern Trust Bank in Chicago until her retirement. She was appreciated by her coworkers for her efficiency and attention to detail.

Bernice loved to play piano and many family gatherings were blessed by hymn sings around the piano. She treasured her nieces and nephews and treated them to special outings like taking them to Chicago White Sox baseball games. These are truly special memories to her family.

Bernice will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her love for the Lord. Both were evident even in her last conversations with family.

Visitation Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Burial private at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL.
