Bernard J. "Bernie" Swaagman, Sr., age 90, U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. Beloved husband for 64 years to the late Elinor Swaagman, nee Bos (2012). Loving father of Donna (Allen) Hon, Diane (Calvin) Isackson, Bernard J. Jr. (Loretta), and Laura (Tim) Leo. Cherished grandfather of 14. Dearest great-grandfather of 26. Dear brother of John (late Joan) Swaagman and the late Estelle (Alvin) Bosma. Dear brother-in-law of Annette (Walker) Busse and the late John (Geraldine) Bos. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday, May 21, 2018 from 3-8 PM. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Lying in state Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Sauk Trail Baptist Temple 4411 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, IL 60471 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
