Bernadine "Bernie" Jacobs

Bernadine “Bernie” Jacobs (Orwat), age 80, of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully, entrusting her soul to the loving mercy of God.

Bernadine was born to Joseph Frank Orwat and Angeline (Knefel) Orwat, and was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother, Joseph Chester Orwat. A woman of deep faith, Bernie lived her life guided by prayer, compassion, and service to others.

Bernie’s vocation was caring for those she loved. She found her greatest joy in helping others and devoted herself wholeheartedly to the well-being of family and friends. Her life reflected the teachings of Christ through her kindness, humility, and unwavering generosity of spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Jacobs; her niece, Diane Schroeder (Orwat); and her nephews, Robert Orwat and Michael Orwat, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Bernadine’s faith was the foundation of her life, and she trusted fully in God’s promise of eternal life. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her selfless love, and her quiet strength.

Private services will be held.
