Barbara Ann Miller, 88, known as Barb, to her friends, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 21, 2026, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Dementia and Parkinsons, in Tinley Park, IL.

She was born on November 16, 1937 in Chicago, the first daughter of Irv and Anna (Paskowicz) Bowie. She will be remembered for her life filled with kindness, strength, dignity and unwavering determination. Barbara was a very strong-willed women and extremely independent, she dedicated her life to her family.

She worked at East Bank Club for many years before working at Darvin Furniture where she made many friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Irv and Anna (Paskowicz) Bowie, her sister Joann Adaska, and her brother Irv Bowie.

Barbara is survived by her sister Irene Grisko, her children Kimberly (Milan) Miladinovich and Tina (Randall) McKenzie. She was the loving “Grandma Barbie” to Robert (Ralynn) Pointer, Sunshine (Joey) Pennington, Nicole McKenzie, Randall (Tiffany) McKenzie, Mark and his family. Great-Grandma to Raven (Justin) Pointer-Schoonmaker, Tyler Pointer, Georgia Pennington, Morgan Pennington, Lucas McKenzie, Mason McKenzie, Cole McKenzie, Holly McKenzie. Great-Great Grandma to Penelope Schoonmaker, Levi Schoonmaker and Hazel Schoonmaker. Loving Aunt to Scott (Donna) Bowie, Cindy (Charlie) Rodriguez, Tony Adaska, Susie (Mike) Ginise, John (Gina) Adaska, Lorrie Meyers, and Ricky Grisko. She was also a Great-Aunt to Matthew Meyers and many others.
