Anne Mikal

Anne M. Mikal, nee Baric, age 91, passed away on September 21, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Loving wife and best friend of Richard G. Mikal for over 72 years. Devoted mother of Richard D. (Karen) Mikal and Liz (Ken) McIntyre. Dear grandmother of Devin (Berna) Mikal, Nick (Marcia) Mikal, the late Andrew (Meggan) Mikal, Craig (Laura) McIntyre, and Clare McIntyre. Proud great-grandmother of Joey, Callie, Nora, Andy, Graham, and Zoey. Fond sister of the late Helen (late Milton) Baker and the late Joe (Ellie) Barich. Caring aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Anne was a teacher's aide at Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy in Chicago for 32 years. She passed her love of reading to many by helping to start a Great Books Program and working on the school newspaper. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Lying in State Thursday, September 28, 2023 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 13350 S. LaGrange Road, Orland Park, IL from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
