Andrew Nelson

Andrew "Andy" Nelson, age 84, U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband for 24 years to Darcyel "Niecy" Nelson, (Arvinger). Loving father of Marcie (Pierre) Wood, Anthony (Dawn) Nelson, Brionna Johnson, Ashley Nelson, Chyla Nelson, Sherdell Nelson, and the late Andre Nelson. Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of many. He was predeceased by his brothers Harrison, Tommy, Handy, Leroy, and Leon and his baby sister Leona.

Andy retired after over 40 years at the U.S. Post Office. He enjoyed being active on the CB radio where his handle was "Mickey Mouse". Andy was also a Mason.

Visitation Friday, August 28, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements. A live-stream of the Funeral Service will be available.
