Alfred Koehne

Alfred J. "Al" Koehne, age 83, US Army Veteran, beloved husband of 56 years to Karen J. Koehne, nee Bratlien. Loving father of Denise (Thomas) Mate and Kathleen (Kevin) Banach. Cherished grandfather of Hunter, Brooke, Joseph, Alexander, and great-grandfather to several great-grandchildren. Dearest brother of Clarence (Chanda) Koehne, Mildred (Delbert) McDonald, Nola (late Richard) Trueblood, Henry (late Cheryl) Koehne and the late Reed (late Hazel) Koehne, Katherine (late Raymond) Powers, Marie (late Charles) Mateja, Anna (late Francis) Sandrie, Marion (late Francis) Revor, Ethel (late Edwin) Schild, William (late Alice) Koehne, Anita (late Harold) Freund, Wilbur (late Della) Koehne and Ethan (Jane) Koehne. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Al also enjoyed wood carving, gardening and cooking.

Visitation Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 3-8 PM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem), Orland Park, IL. Lying in State Friday, February 2, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th St. Tinley Park, IL from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
