Alexander Joseph Tucker, aged 23, Olympic hopeful, expert class in 20” and 24” bicycles passed July 11th 2020, at 3:03 a.m., in a car accident on 147th Street and LeClaire, in Oak Forest.
Beloved son of Michele and John. Loving brother of Dylan. Cherished grandson of Kenneth (Audrey) and the late Helga Klara, John Thomisicka and Mary Ann Tucker. Fond nephew of Diane McAleese and many cousins. Loved by many friends.
Alex, a lifelong resident of Midlothian and Bremen High School alum, competed nationally and was dedicated to his sport. Alex was training at Lifetime Fitness in Orland Park in hopes of making his dream of being a part of the USA Olympic Team. Alex was in the Junior Development BMX Team, a precursor to representing the US in 2016 and 2017.

USA BMX Race of Champions 2006-2013, Illinois State Champion 2007-2013 District Top Ten 2007-2013 Young Guns Top #3 in 2010 Race for Life #1 2007-2013 National Age Group (NAG) #7 2013 USA Cycling Association #2 Junior Development 2013
He went to Lindsey Wilson College where he rode BMX and mountain bikes for 3 years on a scholarship. Alex will be buried in the USA Olympic Team jersey.
Visitation Monday July 20th from 3-9pm. Funeral Tuesday July 21st 9:45am from the Maher Funeral Home 17101 S. 71st Ave Tinley Park to St. Benedict Catholic Church for Mass at 10:30am.
Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 7201 Archer Road, Justice, Illinois. He is survived by his Father and Mother, John Tucker and Michele Holubek, brother Dylan Epling, aunt Diane McAleese, Grandfather Ken Holubek (Audrey Begeske) and numerous cousins.
In accordance with the state of Illinois Public Health Guidelines, visitors will only be admitted in and out privileges as not to exceed the safe number to ensure safe social distancing practices.
